Whimsy Stamps and Quixotic Paperie:))

Throughout June, the Quixotic Paperie design team and friends have been celebrating the store's 2nd anniversary!  Today is the final in a series of spotlights featuring stamp companies stocked at Quixotic Paperie (an online UK stockist for Whimsy), and some of the Whimsy Stamps Design Team have joined in to throw the spotlight on Whimsy Stamps!

Whimsy Stamps is owned by Denise and Kevin Lynn, with Denise as the papercrafter and Kevin illustrating their Kids Collection based on their two children. As the company has developed they have built up their collection of contributing artists, stamp collections, dies and papers.

The ranges include the Crissy Armstrong Collection; Melissa Jenkins Meljen's Design Collection; KennyK Collection; Whimsy Sentiment and dies by Raindrop Echo Designs; Whimsy Animals Collection and Whimsy Kids Collection.

In my card I have used WHIMSY STAMPS beautiful stamp BABY OF MINE. Colouring with Distress Inks, mainly using Weathered Wood and Black Shoot. Prima papers, flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts and Kort&Godt. Once again lace, gauze and white paint:))

Smiles across the miles

Hello everyone! One card today which I promised to show you:) Maybe you have already seen this one, in the Whimsy Inspirations Magazine (http://issuu.com/whimsystamps/docs/issue1 ).  In this card I have used so lovely stamp from Whimsy Stamps called Fairy Daydreams:) Sentiments are also from Whimsy Stamps Everyday Mini Postage Stamps.

Moikka! Vielä tämä yksi kortti näytille. Luultavasti olette kuitenkin nähneet jo tämän jos olette vilaisseet Whimsyn lehteä:)) Tässä kortissa käytin Whimsy Stampsin Crissyn kokoelman leimasinta Fairy Daydreams. Tekstileimasimet ovat myös Whimsyltä:)































Coloured with Distress Inks.. Flowers from Wild Orchid Crafts, Kort&Godt and Prima, most of them painted...surprise or not:)) A little bit gauze, crackle paint and white paint. Beautiful frame around the sentiment is from Prima. Now I`m wishing you a wonderful weekend and midsummer, maybe I will update my blog on the next week:))

Väritetty Distressin musteilla..Kukat WOC, Kort&Godt ja Prima, suurin osa noista tietenkin fiksattu joko valkoisella akryylimaalilla tai ihan vaan spraymaalilla:)
 Vähän harsoa, krakleerausmaalia ja valkoista maalia. Kehys toisen tekstin ympärillä on Priman tuollainen die cut kuvio:)) Tässäpä tämä lyhykäisyydessään. Ei muuta kuin oikein mukavaa viikonloppua ja juhannusta kaikille tasapuolisesti:)) Seuraavan kerran laitankin tänne blogiin jotain ehkä ensiviikolla, on sen verran ahkerasti tullut nyt päivitettyä:))

Dt Cute Card Thursday- Challenge #170 Sketch

Hello again, how are you? I`m fine and I`m so happy, we are here at our cottage again and tomorrow it´s Midsummer:)) There is so silent, no sounds of city!! And again it`s evening until I have time to write...actually I really have time but I have only enjoyed this time to being here:)

But...today it`s Thursday and time to new Cute Card Thursday with the sketch theme:)) I was asked to make confirmation card so I used this sketch for it:)) And here it is:))




 I have used the stamp from Whiff of Joy:) I like this really much because it is so suitable for the many purpose:) One paper I`ve used is from the same Tim Holtz paper pad than I used in my previous pirate card:) Also a few Tim Holtz`s tickets, wooden buttons and gauze which I have coloured with selfmade mist Walnut Stain. I don`t have used sentiments for a while because I don`t have suitable or beautiful Finnish language. But I think it doesn`t always need any or what you think? Oh, I almost forgot the corners..they are die cuts painted with crackle paint Picket Fence and then I have this lovely cross charm and ofcourse...white paint as usually:) Here was all at this time and I hope you liked:) Tomorrow I will have one another card and then I will wish you a wonderful weekend and Midsummer:)

Dt The ABC Challenge- A Pirate

Hi again my dear followers:) Today is the turn oh the new ABC challenge with the theme X marks the spot- A Pirate theme. I don`t have ever made a pirate themed card until now and here it is



 
 This was also the first time when I used this lovely stamp from Magnolia. The picture is coloured with Distress Inks and all the papers are from Tim Holtz paper pad Lost and Found:)) I really love this paper pad, all the papers are so fabulous!! Ofcourse I have added a little bit gauze and white paint as usually:)

Dt Deep Ocean Challenge #2- Flowers

 Hi since a long time:) Finally I have something to share with you because it`s time for a  new Deep Ocean Challenge with the theme Flowers. And here is my card where I have used the stamp called Lil Lolita- Evie from Tickled Pink Stamps.

Moi vaan! Vihdoin jotain tänne blogiin...ollaan oltu vähän reissussa joten ei kovin ole tullut tehtyä eikä päivitettyä:)) Mutta tänään on uusi Deep Ocean haaste teemalla kukkia:) Ja tässä mun korttini jossa olen käyttänyt Tickled Pink Stampsin leimasinta Lil Lolita-Evie.

 
I have coloured with Distress Inks, dress with Victorian Velvet, my favourite red colour:) Papers are once again from Prima, flowers from Magnolia, Wild Orchid Crafts and Kort&Godt. I have added a couple of crystal stems too as yuo can see:) Flowers are painted as usually and I have also added cotton fibre additive around the image. A little bit lace, a few tickets and pearls, that`s all:))

This mermaid is so beautiful:)) I have coloured with Distresses as usually and the papers are from Prima Botanically collection. A little bit lace and gauze, flowers..part of them painted:) A lot of Distress crackle paint weathered wood and white paint.  All that same what I usually use in my cards but I like... I love paints and gause or cheesecloth, I don`t know how you call it:)
